Since my first entry for the Marvel Tee contest was refused for approval to go into the contest, I had just a day to come up with a decent idea for another picture. Considering it took me around 25-30 hours to do the original, I was ~really short of time. I requested a reason as to why it was refused, but I never heard back, which is very rude in my opinion.
So I quickly drew up something and coloured it in and submitted it. It's definitely not my best work, but it was very short of time in order to produce something of awesomeness imo.
However, despite the first idea being canned, I re-entered it. I don't know if either of those entries have been approved to go into the competition or not, so I'm quite nervous to say the least. Especially since I put so much time and effort into that piece, and what furthered my anger was that two approved pieces were merely a cut and paste job and were in no mind 'original'.
I won't post them here because that would be callous of me to do so, to demean someone else's artwork is not in my nature. However I will point out that I will say that one piece breached a copyright by using someone else's artwork. Yes. One entry was using 4 promotion pictures of Tom Hiddleston as Loki, and cut his face out. How on earth did that get approved by Marvel? Another entry that just popped into my mind was merely a low-bit font saying 'Loki's Army' or something within that range.
There is no way that they can deem those 'appropriate' for entry. Maybe I'm just being a little exasperated because mine was rejected.
At least I know for a fact that Tom Hiddleston himself liked my idea.
